DRAMA AND ELOCUTION
Drama is a flourishing aspect of school life at Park School.

Formal drama lessons are taken by every class throughout the week. Pupils are encouraged to demonstrate their talents at class assemblies and Christmas performances.
Each year the Year 6 pupils perform a Summer play for the entertainment of both parents and pupils. Last Summer we enjoyed a rousing performance of 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat'.
Pupils are encouraged to improve their speech and confidence through weekly Elocution lessons. Mrs Smith, who teaches Elocution, encourages the children to enter the LAMDA examinations. Although this activity is extra, a very large percentage of pupils take it up.

The children also compete with great success in the Bournemouth Speech and Drama Festival.
Many of our children have performed with local theatre, ballet and dance groups.
Some children have even performed in the West End and in one notable case on Broadway.
