SPORT
Sports and team games are an important and integral element of our school's curriculum. In addition to competing against other preparatory schools, we take part in many state school leagues and competitions.

We actively encourage the children to participate in team and individual events and we have achieved numerous successes at town, county and national levels. We believe sport for all develops the children's skills, self-esteem and social interaction, it also helps them learn to cope with disappointments.

All the children at Park School receive a broad and balanced programme of physical education and sport. PE lessons provide plenty of gymnastics and dance activities. During the Winter the children learn football, rugby, tag rugby, hockey and netball skills. In Summer they enjoy lessons in cricket, rounders, tennis and athletics.

We have a well equipped sports hall on site and an outdoor all weather pitch, netball court and basketball court. We make use of the facilities at the nearby Littledown Centre during the Winter and Kings Park during the Summer months. Coaches to these venues (a ride of only a few minutes) pick up the pupils from school each games afternoon and return them at the end of the day.
