Help with childcare costs – Early Education Funding

Early Education Funding (EEF) is available for all children from the term beginning after a child’s 3rd birthday until the term in which a child turns five. Some two-year-olds may also be eligible for EEF, please speak to Mrs Rowden for details.

These sessions are subject to eligibility and availability and for 51 weeks per year. We ‘stretch’ the 15 hours per week ‘term time only’ funding to cover the full year at 11 hours per week.

If you are eligible for 30 hour funding this equates to 22 hours per week “stretched” over the full year, and we have a minimum session requirement of five sessions where 30 hour funding is claimed.

Parents are asked to pay for additional hours attended over and above the funded hours at a rate based on the session, not an hourly rate. We only provide Nursery care on a session basis, not an hourly basis. The additional charge to parents covers non-funded hours, as well as food and extra-curricular activities within the advertised session rate.
