PSCET

We believe that every child deserves an enriching and exciting education. We seek to raise funds by coming together as a community to share fun and laughter!

We support community and educational projects in the Bournemouth & Poole area, while instilling in Park School pupils an ethos of social responsibility; educating pupils about the importance of giving back to the local community. We are developing new projects that help children to build self esteem and encourage a love of learning. We were formed from the community of pupils, parents and staff of Park School but we welcome anyone who supports our mission and ethos. We are passionate about education and about nurturing well rounded pupils who understand the importance of giving back, being good citizens, caring about the world around them and taking action to show kindness.

As adults we seek to lead by example and we celebrate the community that is Park School. PSCET is 100% reliant on volunteers, ALL are welcome to get involved. If you can help us with a fundraising event, by giving a little of your time or by making a donation, we would love to hear from you. All parents and families of Park School pupils are encouraged to get involved and there are plenty of opportunities for all.

We seek to offer educational enrichment in Music, Drama, Sport, Literacy and STEM/Technology. If you are a local school or community organisation and would like to partner with us, please get in touch.

What we do

Park Readers Trophy

In partnership with local primary schools we host the Park Readers Trophy; a team based competition in a “university challenge” style with questions based upon a list of key primary texts. The aim is to encourage reading in Primary age pupils.

Choir & Orchestra performance

We invite school choirs and talented young musicians to join us for a special seasonal performance each Christmastime.

Drama workshops

Half-termly we provide a number of talented children with the opportunity to attend 3 days of drama and performance workshops, culminating in a performance for parents and special guests.

Park Summer Schools

Park School offers an educational Summer club taught by experienced Park School teachers and focusing upon exciting aspects of experimental Science, Technology, Math and Art. We fund places for state school pupils to attend this Summer club free of charge to develop their curiosity and passion for learning.

Outdoor Education

The great outdoors has a wonderful effect on us all. For children, spending time outdoors and learning to appreciate nature can be pivotal, offering time to burn off excess energy, time to listen and be calm, time to learn about nature and time to learn about oneself, increasing self-confidence beyond measure. In collaboration with the “Six Acre Forest School” based at our Dean Park playing fields, we fund workshops and team based activities for state school pupils from the local area.
