Park School Nursery

A vibrant and exciting place for your child to learn and grow

At Park School Nursery, our aim is to create happy, confident, active and sociable children. We believe that your child should be able to thrive in a stimulating, clean and well-resourced environment, where they are praised and respected.

Our nursery offers full daycare and early years education for children aged 3 months to 4 years. We are an active nursery with free-flow activities through a variety of spaces indoors and our newly refurbished gardens for every age group to have access to the outdoors.

We follow guidance from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and have created an environment of safe care and support, providing a sound basis for your child’s future schooling.

Inspiring learning through play, the nursery day consists of a wide variety of formal and informal activities, including constructive play, literacy, numeracy, speech and language, music and dance.

Support for babies:

We accept babies from the age of 3 months. Our baby room is in a self-contained unit with a separate sleep area. The babies are cared for by dedicated members of the nursery team. We follow each babies individual care plan and ensure we support their learning and development throughout the day. We use Blossom Education to communicate information about your baby's  day including; meals, bottles, sleep and nappy changes. Our babies have access to an outdoor covered garden area to explore in too.

Environment:

The nursery takes advantage of the schools exceptional facilities and grounds; for games on the Astroturf or in the playground, learning in the ICT suite and visits to the school library. The children eat their lunch in the school dining room and love to see the older children and learn from them.

The nursery also has its own outdoor learning areas, so we can encourage your child to explore and follow their imagination, for example, using our mud kitchen, sandpit or ship!

Play is the highest expression of human development in childhood, for it alone is the free expression of what is in a child’s soul".- Friedrich Froebel
